The Artist's Thoughts . . .
I know it might sound unusual to hear an artist say they cannot draw. I actually thought I couldn't draw well - so I concentrated my efforts more on the things I felt confident with - and almost avoided drawing altogether. Now I see from this drawing I did of a wooden artist's manniquin, some boxes, and a chinese tea cup, that I can draw. Now I recognize that because of the fear of failure, I was holding myself back from growing and developing new skills. Have you ever found yourself doing that?
